May 2012 upgrades: ecommerce, event and MLS

During the past several weeks, we've been deploying many upgrades. Here are the main issues that were addressed overall.

  • eCommerce new promo code functionality
  • Event calendar syncing
  • MLS support
  • Lots of improvements and bug fixes
  • Upcoming: newsletter module

New promo code functionality

You can now define complex promo codes:

  • take a fixed dollar amount (ex: $10) off the shopping cart total price
  • take a total percent off the shopping cart total price, with or without shipping cost
  • kick in only when the shopping cart total price exceeds a dollar value

Event calendar syncing

Lots of modifiations for the event calendar. Mainly better syncing to dotCal, and added proper ICAL syncing as well (Google Calendar, for example). Make sure to contact us to find out how to do this properly.

To sync with dotCal, you need to create a free dotCal account, and use your unique user id as shown in the screenshot below.

To sync with a Google Calendar, you also need to create a free google calendar account, and use your gmail (or google account) address as shown in the screenhot below

MLS support, and we are registered with NWMLS

In our effort to constantly improve our product, we now provide a module to integrate with the NWMLS IDX  feed to provide up to date property listings in your area.

Improvements and fixes

  • Improvement of shipping rules, you can now specify simply world wide shipping rules, country specific rules and build state exceptions
  • Allow better cohabitation of forms when multiple forms are hosted on the same page
  • CMS optimizations
  • Databases tune up
  • Business Directory SEO improvements
  • and many more little items

Upcoming: the newsletter module is arriving.

Our long awaited Newsletter Module is in the final stages of release. You will be able to create mailing lists, upload your excel spreadsheets in your own format, select or create newsletter templates with featured articles, events or articles, and send mass emails. You will receive enough analytics to track delivery and open rates.

Pricing will be an flat email cost, well under 1 cent per email. We feel this approach will deliver lots of value to all our customers.

Stay tuned for more updates
